In 2011 ROLITRANS International introduced a Heavy-Lift Fly-Over Bridge System (RFOBS)
to not only further upgrade our service and safety policies but to introduce a transport solution
for the impaired infrastructure of Indonesia. The panel bridge system is designed to span
existing road bridges of questionable and/or unverifiable capacity.
The base bridge @ 32 meters span has two (2) 180 cm wide ramp spans each consisting
of six (6) main segments and two (2) triangular access ramps which are supplemented
by two (2) additional extension ramps (each end one) serving the purpose to further
decrease the ramp’s inclination. It’s modular design permits adding segment extending
the span to 43 and 54 meters respectively. All spans are achieved without center
support on the existing bridge.
The maximum capacities depend on the spans and start at an impressive 327 metric tons
(@ 32 meters span) to a still sizeable 187 metric tons (@ 54 meters span). The RFOBS entire
surface is treated with a specialty Anti-Slip-Rubber-Coating guaranteeing traction of the prime
mover(s) for the heaviest of loads. The RFOBS is a safe tool and eliminates safety aspects
on bridges and caters to our complex and intricate heavy- and super-heavylift road
transports to inland destinations not accessible by rivers/waterways.
