In early 2009 ROLITRANS International introduced a Heavy-Lift Transport Axle Weighing Scale System
to upgrade our service and safety policies. The system is designed to add a number of safety aspects
and a verification tool catering to our complex and intricate heavy- and super-heavylift road transports
and RO/RO operations.
Purpose
- Add safety tool to road transports and Roll-On/Roll-Off operations
- Establish overall convoy weight in Road-Mode (Prime Mover + Trailer + Cargo + Transport Accessories)
- Verify actual axle and/or axle-line loads against calculated and legally permissible loads
- Verification of cargo weight (subtraction method)
- Produce actual axle and/or axle-line weights for presentation to PU (Public Works Authority)
relevant for issuance of a Transportation Permit - Tool for better assessment of stress factors and shear forces
- Use results to achieve better load distribution on trailer
- Eliminate risk of weight related accidents
Standards applied
- Calibrated and certified to stringent Australian Land Transport Authority standards
- Calibrated to Indonesian temperature range (26° – 34° Celsius)
- Regular recalibration intervals
